For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

The Lakeside Church is a missions-minded church. We partner with local, national and international organizations in their missions to go and share the good news of freedom, hope and new life in Jesus Christ with our world. We give so they can go.

Faith Comes by Hearing is our missions project for April. Here are some staggering facts: Earth's population numbers in the billions, and it's growing every day. There are over 7,100 languages spoken all over the world. 70% of people alive today primarily learn through audible communication, and 50% cannot read at a functional level. How will they ever hear the Gospel? Faith Comes By Hearing has come alongside the worldwide translation community in a movement to finish the task - to ensure that everyone on earth has access to Jesus Christ’s Gospel in a format they can understand. Burning Love Outreach ministers to those who abuse or are addicted to drugs and alcohol. They help them rise from a life of suffering, torment and addiction to one of joy, peace and positivity.
Sri Lankan Youth Outreach invests in the whole life transformation of youth from Hindu backgrounds. This ministry meets weekly at local high schools in Scarborough, and uses sports as a vehicle to proclaim the Gospel.

Safe Hope Home provides housing, post-secondary education, counselling, etc to guide sexually exploited or trafficked women into full rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
The Salvation Army offers practical assistance, provides shelter for homeless people, and rehabilitation for people who have lost control of their lives to an addiction.
