A hero is someone who has recognized a need, counted the potential cost, and decided to act in spite of what might happen to them personally because there are people or a cause that justify that action. Heroism is uncommon not because others CAN’T do what the hero has done. It’s uncommon because others WON’T do what the hero has done. In every segment of society, we have our heroes, which is wonderful because heroes give us hope, they help solve problems and deliver justice. But when you stop and think about it, these heroes only impact our earthly lives. They make things better in the here and now. But I believe the greatest heroes are the ones make a difference in peoples’ lives both here on earth and for eternity. They're the unlikely heroes, the ones who may never make it on the news or be written about in history books, but they’re the ones who make an eternal impact for the kingdom of God.

Since the time of the fall in the Garden of Eden, nothing has really changed.  While we may have advanced in technology, we continue to live under the effects of the fall, struggling with the question "Did God really say that?” Satan’s first tactic was this simple question and questioning God has been his weapon of choice since the beginning. God is truth. His promises are sure, and His commands are good. His words bring life, peace, and joy. Let's break away from bad theology by knowing God's Word and knowing for ourselves, without a shadow of a doubt, if God really did say that.

In a world often divided by differences, the body of Christ stands as a testament to the beauty of unity in the midst of diversity. Over the last few decades, the term diversity has taken on many meanings, but diversity was always God’s idea and has always been present in His creation, here on earth and also in heaven. But unity is not guaranteed where diversity exists, so as children of God, we all need to ensure that we are living in unity in the midst of diversity.
