OUR FOCUS IN DECEMBER
Join us as we begin our Christmas series His Name Shall Be Called...

Different names for Christ are abundant in scripture, and as we take time to reflect on the names surrounding His birth, we also want to learn what implications those names have for our Christian witness in the world. The past year has been another marked by division, sickness, and unrest. When consuming news of the world it is easy to feel despair. In the midst of this, however, we can take heart in knowing that Christ is present through our struggles.

Christmas reminds us that God keeps promises. We don’t need to feel dismayed or discouraged or hopeless, but; instead, we get to engage in anticipatory and participatory hope as we await the coming of Christ and participate in bridging the “already” and the “not yet” of God’s Kingdom.

Our Missions focus for November is TLC's Christmas Benevolent Fund. All November missions will go to the Christmas Benevolent Fund, which is a confidential fund, managed by the Board of Deacons with help from the staff, to help people in our church family in need of financial and material assistance due to illness, unemployment, or some unexpected accident, setback or tragedy. TLC'S MISSION & VISION
The Lakeside Church is a community of believers devoted to the Word of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to love and build up one another, and to reach people with the life-giving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We gather together to worship Jesus as Lord and Saviour. We are motivated to grow in faith and encourage one other to use our gifts for God’s purposes. We are equipped to go and share the good news of freedom, hope and new life in Jesus Christ with our community, country and the world.
TLC MINISTRIES
No matter what stage of life you are in, or what season you are currently experiencing, TLC has a relevant ministry to support you in your life's journey. We have age-related ministries, activity-based ministries, ministries to mark important milestones, ministries to offer you spiritual and emotional support, and ministries to help build up your faith in Christ Jesus.

TLC MISSIONS
The Lakeside Church is a missions-minded church. We partner with local, national and international organizations in their missions to go and share the good news of freedom, hope and new life in Jesus Christ with our world. We give so they can go.

We also support the 340 million Christians worldwide who face high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith in Jesus.
In 2022, TLC will partner with 12 organizations that do missions work locally and internationally. We will highlight one organization per month and come alongside them as they tangibly spread the love of Jesus to a hurting and needy world.

Pastor Brian baptized me one year ago and provided great comfort when I was sick. He encouraged me to maintain my faith and rely on Jesus. He is a teacher, an older brother, and a protector to me. His warm smile, kindness, and unwavering strength encourage me to keep my faith.
